IF:Gathering for Women

Feb 7, 2014 from 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM

IF:Local,Metamora,Illinois

February 7-8, 2014

IF:Gathering is led by women who exist to gather, equipp and unleash women to live out their purpose. They speak:

There is a restlessness among women who desire to harness their hunger and passion and be equipped to pursue their God-given dreams. As women and followers of Christ, we are given a unique DNA and calling. It looks different for each of us, but whatever your age, whatever your place, there is purpose for your life. We want to be a fresh, deep, honest space for women to wrestle out how to live out the calling God has placed on their life”.

IF:Gathering will come to you via a simulcast on large screen video feed live from Austin, Texas. There will be various speakers for the teaching times.

Day 1 we will focus on the character of God through teaching, confession, prayer, worship, and communion.

THEN what?

Day 2 we dive into the “then” statements individually and collectively. We'll explore each unique individual calling and talk and pray about how God calls you to live that out.

The scripture that is the framework for the time together is:

Hebrews 12:1-2:

Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses,

let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely,

and let us run with endurance the trace that is set before us,

looking to Jesus , the founder and perfecter of our faith,

who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross,

despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.”

This is a nondenominational event with a strong commitment to honor the church and to point those involved with IF:Gathering back to their local churches.

Love & Respect LIVE Marriage Conference

Feb 7, 2014 from 6:45 PM to 12:30 PM

Join us on February 7 & 8 at Northwoods Community Church for the Love and Respect Marriage Conference! Register HERE:https://loveandrespect.com/events/details/1359

What is Love and Respect? We believe love best motivates a woman and respect most powerfully motivates a man. Research reveals that during marital conflict a husband most often reacts when feeling disrespected and a wife reacts when feeling unloved.  We asked 7,000 people this question: when you are in a conflict with your spouse or significant other, do you feel unloved or disrespected?  83% of the men said "disrespected."  72% of the women said, "unloved."  Though we all need love and respect equally, the felt need differs during conflict, and this difference is as different as pink is from blue!??We conduct conferences and provide resources to the married, divorced, separated, dating and single. Men and women will learn how to resolve conflict, dealing with the negative reactions (the Crazy Cycle). They will also learn how to motivate each other by meeting each other's need (the Energizing Cycle). Even those who feel hopeless in their relationships will gain understanding on how to handle an indifferent or unresponsive partner (the Rewarded Cycle).??Each cycle centers on two concepts: love and respect. These two words surface in social research and the bible (Ephesians 5:33) as the two key ingredients for a successful marriage. From our research, those attending the Love and Respect conference, watching the Love and Respect DVD in small groups, or reading the Love and Respect resources, are experiencing understanding, forgiveness, reconciliation, change, and hope.
